Excellent role for a skilled Housekeeper, ideally with a chalet or yacht background. Great household to work in – we placed the HM and a previous HK. The family are in p/t residence – 3 weeks in December, 6 weeks in the summer and potentially 1 or 2 other short visits of one week.  You must be very fit, strong and energetic as this is a 6 floor, along with a mews house. There is a lift, but it is family only during visits.

 

• Full housekeeping (no laundry) as sole Housekeeper, with assistance from the HM, and by an occasional deep cleaning company, when the family are not in residence.
• Full temp staff including HKs, Chef, Laundress etc. employed for visits starting 1 week before family arrival
• Set up and ready residence prior to arrive of family
• Work closely with the team during visits to ensure highest standards and service
• Housekeeping duties reduced during visits where your focus will be on assisting (and eventually leading) F&B table set-up and service, supported by the HM.
• Over time training will be given with assistant house management duties, and to enable you to cover during any absence or vacation.

Good role for an experienced Laundress to manage all laundry requirements for an UHNW family in part-time residence.  This is a formal, staffed household with a good team in place.  Duties will include washing, hand-washing, ironing, steaming, dry cleaning and care of fine clothing and fabrics.  You should also be able to undertake minor clothing repairs – hems, buttons, repairing small tears and stitching labels onto clothing.

It would be a bonus if the Laundress had some previous housekeeping expereince and would be willing to assist the housekeeping team if it was ever needed.

Both have impeccable, top end backgrounds and are two of the nicest ladies you could wish to meet.

Female Lead Butler with an UHNW residence, yacht or 5* hotel background.  You must be experienced, polished, well-presented and able to work within a small permanent team, and to manage and train the temporary butler team (6-8 people) hired for each family visit.

 

General duties/responsibilities include –

• Responsible for and organise the day to day Butler function at the property
• Develop the temp. Butler team training programme with guidance from the House Manager
• Train and lead the temp. Butler team, ensure they are ready and equipped to deliver expectional service
• In collaboration with the HM, organise Butler rotas, aligning with other household departments
• Provide informal and formal service to family and guests using the preferred technique
• Liaise with the Head Chef
• Responsible for organisation and cleanliness of the Butler pantries
• Care of silverware, serveware, fine porcelain and crystal.  Ensure use of correct products and cleaning techniques
• Maintain full pantry stock levels. Ensure ample lead time for orders, liaise with HM as required
• Maintain and update serviceware inventories and conduct regular inventory checks. Report any damaged or missing items
• Greet and welcome family, guests and visitors
• Assist with wardrobe management and organisation per client requirements and preferences; pack/unpack for travel
• Work with the HM to develop and maintain the house manual with focus on family preferences and service delivery
• Work with the HM and Head Chef to develop, maintain and keep updated family preferences records
• Responsible for purchasing preferred toiletries, products and supplies
• Monitor for maintenance and repair issues and immediately report to HM
• Respond to and deal with family requests, ensure requests are completed in a timely, efficient manner
• General assistance to the HM and you will be first point of contact in the HM’s absence.

The Housekeepers work on a shift system  generally 7.30am-3.30 pm or 12-8pm with either Thurs/Fri off or Sat/Sun off – on alternate weekly rotation. Weekend days are generally 9-5 pm. When there is a full house (about 4 months of the year total), there will be 3 daily shifts – early, afternoon and late –  and everyone works 6 days per week, with the extra day banked and taken as time in lieu.  Extra temporary staff are employed and a taxi home provided when on late shift.  When the residence is empty it’s M-F normal daily hours.

The Maintenance Lead is a newly created role reporting to the Head of Maintenance and deputising in his absence. You will oversee the consistent, effective application of all maintenance processes, procedures, reporting and compliance for the global property portfolio.  They will be an occasional travel requirement – short trips to properties in Europe.

 

• Ensure effective planned and preventative maintenance programme is in place for all properties, oversee repairs, renovations etc. Submit monthly reports on planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs
• Develop and implement robust monthly report to provide the Operations Management Team with information enabling them to effectively operate the global portfolio.
• Oversee, document and supervise regular inspections and maintenance of all plant and other equipment (including kitchen, electrical, mechanical, internal building fabrics) including contractor visits.
• Review and negotiate maintenance agreements and contracts, ensure maximum value for clients in cost, service and quality
• Develop and present proposals for improvements, highlight opportunities/risks/ issues
• Assist with procurement of plant, equipment and ancillary items for seasonal projects, obtain quotes, tenders, specifications/proposals as required. Submit monthly reports.
• Develop supply chain and preferred contractors for high quality, timely resolution of unplanned maintenance, establish contracts where required to ensure priority resolution.
• Ensure any exterior/interior damage is properly reported and investigated if required to determine cause. Recommend actions to prevent recurrence.
• Direct & manage the maintenance manager to achieve the highest possible standards at all properties.
• Mentor and support technical development of colleagues across the Company
• Compliance – ensure implementation/adherence for all statutory, regulatory and other polices relating to maintenance. Monitor, risk assess, manage Health & Safety and technical compliance, investigate if any failures occur.
• Keep up to date with industry changes (supply and demand of products/materials)
• Keep up to date with best practice technologies, equipment, materials and ways of working to drive more efficient, effective, optimised solutions and methodologies.
